If I stay at a Disney resort for only one night, do I still have access to making dining reservations early?

Greetings, Erica, and thanks for stopping by planDisney! I'm excited you're considering staying at a Disney Resort Hotel for your next Walt Disney World Resort visit. I love feeling fully immersed in the magic and almost always choose to stay on property. I appreciate the range in price and themes offered because there is something for everyone. Let's look at how advanced dining reservations will work if you stay at a resort hotel.

All guests can make dining reservations around 6:00 a.m. at the 60-day mark before their check-in date. Disney Resort Hotel guests can book dining at that time for their entire stay. This perk is convenient when guests stay several days because they can book a week's worth of dining at one time. Non-resort guests must book dining one morning at a time as the 60-day mark rolls over.

In your situation, you can make dining reservations for the day you check in and the day you check out. This extra day could be a bonus for those hard-to-get reservations for character dining experiences. I'd suggest trying for any Signature Dining or Character Dining first, as soon as your booking window opens. Grab a Mickey mug of coffee and log in early!

I like to make my dining reservations on the My Disney Experience Mobile App by tapping the plus sign at the bottom of my screen and choosing Check Dining Availability. Remember to apply any filters to limit your results. I also advise having some Plan B options in case your first choices are unavailable. You can always keep checking as your dates get closer because guests cancel all the time.

Erica, staying at a Disney Resort Hotel will offer advantages like Early Theme Park Entry and complimentary Resort Transportation for your entire stay. And if you choose a Deluxe Resort, you might have an opportunity for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. Be sure to check the calendar once you know your dates, which can help guide your itinerary.

I'm sprinkling pixie dust so your next Disney trip will be magical, Erica. Please stop by planDisney anytime. We love to help guests plan practically perfect vacations!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
