our stay is 12/21/13-01/2/14. 4 children ages 8,9,10,12. Staying in the Finding Nemo Suite at AOA. What is a good itinerary? We have disney tickets for 5 days. Wont be going into a park on arrival day so what can we do to set the tone for the trip?

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World Vacation, Nicole! I think it's great that you are going to be enjoying an extended vacation at Walt Disney World during the Holiday season when all of the resorts and parks are beautifully decorated. To be perfectly honest with you, I think you will find the parks to be less crowded before Christmas day which is why I have suggested that you spend three days in the parks prior to Christmas.I would recommend visiting Magic Kingdom Park on Saturday, December 22nd followed by DIsney's Hollywood Studios on Sunday, the 23rd.If you would like to visit a park on December 24th, then I would recommend Epcot.I would also recommend experiencing Candlelight Processional on Christmas Eve which is one of my absolute favorite shows at Walt Disney World. I would personally take Christmas Day off from park touring to enjoy time around your resort or visit several of the Disney Deluxe Resorts to admire all of the Holiday decorations in each lobby. My family spent one day during our December vacation last year to do a self guided resort tour and loved it. Since your vacation is twelve nights by my calculation, I would plan to spend one day in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and one more full day in Magic Kingdom Park between December 26, 2012 and December 30, 2012. It it were me, I would visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Park on December 26th and Magic Kingdom Park on December 28th or 29th.You should have ample time to enjoy many of the recreational activities located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort on your non-park days. For your arrival day, I would recommend planning a dinner at 'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Resort which is one of my family's favorite ways to set the tone for our Walt Disney World Vacations.Another great option is to visit Downtown Disney on your arrival day. I am out of room for my answer, but please feel free to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a Magical and Merry December trip!
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
