Ahoy, ManYin! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your great question. It sounds like you’re planning an unforgettable adventure with your big crew. And you're planing a nightly sleepover?! The kids are going to be talking about this trip for years!
Even though your room can sleep up to six Guests, that number is an official maximum, and Disney Cruise Line has to follow it for safety reasons. So if all five kids want to bunk together, that’s absolutely fine, but only one adult can stay in that room with them, because adding a second adult would bring the total to seven, which is above the stateroom’s allowed capacity.
While Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie don’t do nightly bed checks, they do require that minors be supervised. So as long as one adult is in the kids’ room overnight and you stay at or under the room’s maximum of six, you’re perfectly within the rules. A great solution is to rotate which adult takes the “sleepover host” role each night so everyone gets a turn, and everyone gets an actual bed, since Disney Cruise Line doesn’t provide extra cots or rollaways.
And with a group of kids this lively, I know they’re going to love the kids' spaces onboard! From the
Oceaneer Club and
Lab to
Edge and
Vibe, it’s the perfect place for them to burn off extra energy while the adults enjoy a little quiet time. When my boys were younger, they practically ran to the kids’ clubs after dinner and stayed until close. Your group will have a blast, especially since they already know each other.
I hope this helps, ManYin! If you want more tips about sailing with a big group, or if you tell us which ship you’ll be on, we’re happy to help you with more planning advice!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
