Hello, Karen! How fun is it that you are going to have a chance to kick of your
Walt Disney World vacation with one of the most sought after dining experiences? Any little girl would feel like a real princess dining at
Cinderella's Royal Table.
All three of my daughters hated being hot and sweaty when they were little. Anything fancy and covered in ruffles would be deemed too itchy and scratchy for them to wear. I never dressed them in full on princess regalia for dining at the castle. The better option for my girls was a cute princess t-shirt with shorts (you could even throw one of those inexpensive tulle tutus over a pair of shorts) or a skirt made from comfortable fabric. I would pull their hair up in a bun or a braid, and I would even sometimes add my own "pixie dust." There was nothing too tough to pack or too difficult to wear in hot weather.
Some children will absolutely be dressed for the occasion, but you'll find many do not go all out in princess attire. I never found that my girls felt like they missed out on being dressed up. In the long run, it saved us time having to go back to the resort to change, because there was no way my girls were going to stay in full on fancy dress.
You'll find princess accessories readily available throughout the
Magic Kingdom and even in the resorts. You could even snag a tiara or something to make your daughter feel a little more princess-like without the whole costume.
Wishing you a fairytale fabulous meal!
Anna
