I am starting the process of advance planning for a seven-day Disneyworld vacation for my family of four in 2026, probably at the Boardwalk Inn. I'm having trouble locating a calendar. Any recommendations? Also, when during the year are there deals?

Hiya Matthew, and welcome to planDisney!

How exciting that you're planning an amazing week long adventure for your family at Walt Disney World Resort. I can tell that your planning game is strong... this will serve you well! Doing a little research and planning ahead of time goes a long way to maximizing your visit at the Most Magical Place on Earth. And personally, I feel like planning the magical details of my family's Disney trips is half the fun! Ok, maybe not half. But it's a LOT of fun!

As you can probably tell when searching dates on the Disney World website, travel packages for 2026 have not yet been released. Historically, this happens some time between February to June, so it could be any time now! Your best bet for hot-off-the-presses announcements like 2026 packages being offered is to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. If you will be reserving both a Disney resort hotel and theme park tickets, that will be considered a vacation package and only requires at $200 fully refundable deposit (prices subject to change). I love doing this, because it secures my spot and officially gets a countdown going in the My Disney Experience app. So exciting!

As far as deals, I like to occasionally check the Special Offers & Deals page for anything that may come up during our desired travel dates. Featured deals vary throughout the year, and are updated on a fairly frequent basis. And if something is offered that works for your trip, you can easily switch your existing reservation to that special offer instead. It's very slick! You can check the current deals to get a sense for how far in advance they are typically featured.

I love that you're thinking ahead, and have already zoned in one which of the Disney Resort Collection you'd like to enjoy with your family. Although I have not yet stayed at the BoardWalk Inn, I really love this area and location. You may want to consider a reservation to partake in the legendary "Kitchen Sink" ice cream sundae at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, just a 5-10 minute walk away... it's colossal! Bring friends. Hungry friends.

I hope this helps Matthew, and I'm so excited for you to plan the Best. Trip. Ever!! Please visit me again at planDisney if I can help with any additional recommendations or answers.

    The Magic is calling!
