I am just starting to play our family's Fall Break vacation and this is our first time to WDW. If we get the Dining Plus plan, do we reserve our meals ahead of time and can a park representative help us through that process?

Yes. You should absolutely reserve as many of your table service meals as possible, as far in advance as possible. You can make dining reservations for most meals 180 days in advance of your trip. Some fall dates are within that window now, so you should start to get to work on this quickly. Call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE to make reservations.

In most circumstances, you're on your own for making those reservation calls. If you are staying at a concierge level room in one of the deluxe resorts or if you're staying on some VIP or premium packages, you can request assistance from Disney with planning and making your meal reservations. But the vast majority of people, including all of us on the Moms Panel, do it themselves.

There is one other alternative if you're not staying on a VIP trip ... Some travel agents will plan and book your dining for you if you work with them to plan other parts of your vacation. If you feel like you're going to need a lot of handholding when making your meal plans, then maybe working with a travel agent is a good solution for you.
