I am starting to plan for a 2013 visit to Disney World. What would be the best week to go to make sure we are able to enjoy all the Christmas Decorations and events? There will be a total of 8 in our party. 5 adults and 3 children ages 16, 8 and 4. Ty

Hi, Deborah!  There is no place on earth I'd rather be than Walt Disney World during the Christmas holidays!  I love the decorations and holiday festivities that take place each year!

If you can take the time to go the first week in December, usually right after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, you will find the decorations are up and the holiday happenings are, well, happening!  It's a good time to see EPCOT's Candlelight Processional and enjoy Christmas around the world.  You can opt in for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which takes place select nights throughout the holiday season.

Crowds will typically begin to build the closer you get to Christmas, so the earlier in the month you go, the better it will be in terms of crowd volume.  That's why I like the early part of the month.

I hope you and your family get to enjoy the magical holiday spirit at Walt Disney World next year!
