Starting to plan our vacation for Sept 2018. Looking at possibly staying at Coronado Springs & have two questions. How many other resorts share bus service with Coronado? Would booking a preferred room get us closer to main pool and the main building?

Hi, Cheryl! Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is my favorite choice among the Moderate Resort hotels, with its many upgraded amenities compared to the other Moderates. In my experience, the Disney bus transportation is reliable and convenient, with this resort having its own dedicated buses to the parks. It normally does take a few minutes for the buses to complete the loop through all five stops here, but overall, the transport time is favorable since you will not have to stop by another resort before heading to your magical day.

When considering a booking category at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, you may need to make a choice between which of your preferences are more important to you - being close to the Dig Site feature pool or to the main building, El Centro. The Preferred category guest rooms are usually in buildings 1, 2, and 3 of the Casitas section. This area puts you two to five minutes away from the main building, but around eight to ten minutes from the main pool. Note that there is a leisure pool in the Casitas section, located between buildings 3 and 4.

My favorite location at this resort is actually the Cabanas section, which gives you about a three-minute walk to both the main building and pool. The best way to assure you are placed in this section is to book Business Class guest rooms, which are found in buildings 9A and 9B. This booking category also gives you access to a concierge lounge. In my experience, the location and lounge make this booking category well worth the slight upcharge.

Cheryl, thank you so much for bringing this question to us. Please stop by again if you would like to discuss more about this wonderful resort.
