Hi Jerilynn,
You are going to have so much fun exploring the magic of Disney World with your nieces and nephews. There is nothing better than seeing Disney World through the eyes of the little ones you love, and it's even better when you are not the one who has to get those little ones to bed!
You will notice when you go to book your
Disney Resort hotels that you cannot choose connecting rooms. Disney World does not guarantee connecting rooms for any of their resort hotels but will allow you to put it down as a room request. The best way to make sure your request is put in properly is to
call to book your reservation and have them note it at that time. They will do their best to honor this request, but if it is a must-have, you may want to consider some other room types.
If a connecting room is a requirement, you should consider booking one of
Disney's Deluxe Villas. Each of these resort hotels offers 2-bedroom or 3-bedroom options that give your family the space they need to spread out and be comfortable. I love the fact that they also feature a living room and kitchen area. We often use this to make breakfast before heading out to the theme parks in the morning or for a quiet dinner one night when we need a break to relax.
If you are looking for a Deluxe Villa on a budget,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas and
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa both have large rooms and are typically on the more affordable end of the scale for this accommodation type. An extra benefit of staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs is that you can walk to Disney Springs for delicious food and shopping.
Disney's Riviera Resort and
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa are beautiful resorts that offer the height of luxury for your trip. My favorite part of these resorts is their amazing pools, decadent restaurants, and access to convenient resort transportation. Quick access to transportation is a big bonus if you have children who need to come back and rest in the middle of the day.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
