Hi Jodie,
Disney World is the perfect place to celebrate especially if you have food allergies! As a family that is used to navigating the world of dining out with allergies, there is honestly no place like Disney World. It is so simple and there are truly great options at almost every restaurant. The cast members are also super helpful and careful about food preparation!
One of my favorite dining locations for a celebration is
Topolino's Terrace. The upscale vibe, decadent food options, and view of the fireworks are perfect for an anniversary celebration. We have had several great experiences with their chef working to create the perfect allergy-friendly dishes! They also have a fabulous wine list to pair with your dining experience. I like to book this dinner a little later so that we can walk out on the patio after we finish eating and watch the fireworks from a comfortable rooftop!
If you are looking for dining options at the theme parks, I have some tested favorites there as well. At Magic Kingdom, we never miss an opportunity to dine at
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. Almost everything on the menu is gluten-free and delicious. They also have lots of dairy-free options and can modify dishes to accommodate your needs. In EPCOT,
Le Cellier Steakhouse is our go-to celebratory meal. The steaks are killer and the signature poutine is dreamy. While exploring Animal Kingdom, I always make a stop at
Nomad Lounge for a fabulous drink, small bites, gluten-free churros, and a fun view of the Character Cavalcade on the water. Hollywood Studios is home to an allergy-friendly family-style location serving up high-quality BBQ.
Roundup Rodeo BBQ is a really fun restaurant that makes you feel like a toy and is worth a reservation!
Once you are full of delicious food and your feet are tired from a day of exploring, you will want a fabulous place to lay down your head for the evening. When deciding between
Disney's moderate-level resorts you really can't make a bad decision. All of them have fabulous theming and great dining options. I tend to lean towards
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort if I am booking in this category. Caribbean Beach Resort is a winning choice with access to the Disney Skyliner that will take you directly to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. If you choose this resort, I would request a room close to the Disney Skyliner entrance to minimize walking time because it is a large resort! The pool here is fabulous and it has a couple of really solid restaurants to choose from. If you are looking for something a little bit quieter, I also love
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside for the fun-themed Royal Guest Rooms and the access to water taxis.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
