Ahoy, Jennifer!
Isn't it exciting to start dreaming of a magical voyage with Captain Mickey? I remember ALL the questions I had when planning my first cruise, so I hope you'll find the Disney Parks Moms Panel helpful as you go through the process.
I think you are smart to consider a
land and sea adventure because it's hard to be so close to the magic at the
Walt Disney World Resort and not stop by for some pixie-dusted fun! Who doesn't love a double dose of pixie dust? Since many Guests like to visit the Walt Disney World Resort before or after a Disney Cruise vacation, Disney Cruise Line does offer
ground transportation for an additional fee. This option does include the very convenient luggage delivery to the port. Transportation is also offered to and from the Orlando International Airport. Unfortunately, the luggage delivery is only available for those who have purchased the transfers. Transportation can be added at the time of reservation or up to three days prior to your cruise departure. You will not know your exact pick-up time until the day prior to your sail date, but luggage is usually picked up at 8:00 a.m. in your resort room. The luggage will magically arrive outside your stateroom door later on that afternoon! Guest pick-up is typically late morning to early afternoon with the ride to the port being around an hour or so. The motor coach buses provide a comfortable ride with entertainment and a bathroom onboard.
Jennifer, good luck with your plans! Please sail by any time with any additional questions.
Nancy
