I am starting to plan our Disneyland vacation for March 2026. When will the reservations open?

Welcome to planDisney, Greg! March 2026 will be here before you know it, and I completely understand wanting to get a jumpstart on planning. Spring is a beautiful time to visit the Disneyland Resort with cool mornings, blooming flowers, and just enough sunshine to make that first churro of the day taste even sweeter. Let’s take a look at what information is available so far.

At the moment, the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort are accepting reservations through December 31, 2025. While 2026 dates haven’t been released just yet, they’re typically announced sometime in August. That timing can shift from year to year, so I recommend keeping a close watch on the Disney Parks Blog. That’s usually the first place any news about upcoming vacation packages and hotel availability will be posted.

Theme park tickets follow a slightly different schedule. In general, tickets for both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure become available about 120 to 180 days in advance. However, just like the hotel timelines, those dates can vary. If you’re aiming for a trip in March 2026, I’d suggest checking the Disneyland website around early September 2025. That’s when you’ll likely see tickets for those dates pop up on the Theme Park Tickets page.

As you start mapping out your dream park days, I highly recommend learning more about the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This convenient option allows you to reserve return times for select attractions and enter through the Lightning Lane. It’s perfect for skipping the standby lines and staying cool during those warmer afternoons. You can purchase it for your group ahead of time or once you’ve arrived. After you scan into the parks, just open the Disneyland app to make your first selection. It’s easy to use and gives you more time to stroll through Sleeping Beauty Castle or enjoy a refreshing Dole Whip in Adventureland. Q-tip: pairing Lightning Lane with early park arrival can help you fit in even more magic with shorter wait times.

I hope this helps you get started on your Disneyland Resort adventure, Greg! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at planDisney again. There’s nothing we love more than helping fellow Guests plan their most magical vacations.

    Wishing you pixie-dusted planning,
    David
