I am just starting to look into planning a trip to Disney in February 2022. Is it best to use a trip planner or just book things myself? Where do I even begin? I want to have a great trip but the options available are overwhelming.

    Howdy Kristi!

Welcome to planDisney!  I am super excited that you stopped by with all these great questions!  Oh, boy!  Let’s get started!

In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun.  You find the fun and – SNAP – the job’s a game!  Planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort may take a little planning, but once you begin, the planning is lots of fun!  Since you have already decided on your dates, you will want to choose from one of the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels.  After selecting the resort hotel that works “Practically Perfect” for your vacation, you will need to decide how many days you want to visit each theme park.  At this point, I recommend calling the Walt Disney World Resort and speaking with a Cast Member to book a vacation package.  By booking a vacation package, you will be able to have everything bundled into one reservation.

Please take a moment to create your My Disney Experience account.  You will find the My Disney Experience option in the upper-right portion of the Walt Disney World home page.  After you click on this option, you will need to fill in all the information as you are prompted.  Having your My Disney Experience account created before you call the Walt Disney World Resort will allow the Cast Member to link your resort hotel and theme park tickets into your My Disney Experience account.

After you have your vacation booked, you will need to make your “Disney Park Pass Reservations.”  If you click on the Disney Park Pass Reservation link above, this will bring you to your My Disney Experience, and you can make your Disney Park Pass Reservations now!

You will be able to make your Advanced Dining Reservations 60-days before your check-in date.  Before the 60-day window opens up, I recommend scanning through all the dining options to decide which dining experience would work best for your party!

As your vacation gets closer, check out the “Special Offers” on the Walt Disney World Resort website.  If you find a “Special Offer” that works better for your vacation, you can quickly call the Walt Disney World Resort, and they can modify your reservation!  To stay informed of everything to do and see during your visit, check the Disney Parks Blog!  I have placed links in all the highlighted areas above to have easy access to everything you need!

As you continue to plan your unforgettable vacation, if you have any more questions, please come back to planDisney!  We are always here to help you with any questions you may have, Kristi!

    See Ya Real Soon,
