I am starting to look into a Disney World vacation and I wanted to know when the value seasons are? I would like stay at a deluxe resort but at the best rate I can get.

Hi Laura! I'm always looking for Deluxe at a discount too! I love the luxurious Deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World, but I'm frugal, so visiting during a value season allows me experience luxury at a lower price. The value season varies depending on the resort, and pricing differs on weekdays and weekends. You can find the exact value season dates for a particular resort by visiting that resort's "Room Types and Pricing" webpage on the Walt Disney World website and then choosing Value Season in the upper right corner. In general at Deluxe resorts, value season rates are available at non-peak times of year, which also means attendance in the parks is lower so you'll often be able to experience lots of attractions with little waiting -- another bonus! Typically these periods are January to mid-February and late August through September. Mid-July to mid-August is considered a value season as well, but you'll find slightly higher rates and park attendance then.

No matter what time of year you're visiting you can often find discounted resort room rates and vacation packages on the Special Offers page of the Disney World website. The unofficial website Mousesavers.com is a great source of information about discounts at Disney too.
