I am glad you asked this question because I had a similar situation a few cruises ago, and planning will help expedite the process at the cruise terminal. The best thing to do is to have the
prohibited items packed together as you go through security. They will be able to hold these items for you until you disembark. Look for a table in the cruise terminal after you go through U.S. Customs, and your items will be waiting for you to pick up.
