When should I start to worry about the weather? My husband and I leave for our first trip (together) to Disney on Friday 8/29? Do the reports always say 50% chance of rain? Thanks for all the information you provid!e This board's a great place to visit!

    Elizabeth,

In short, yes.  They do.  :)

It rains almost every day in Orlando, for a brief period of time.  Bring along or buy some ponchos and make the most of it.  The rain can actually be great, as the parks tend to thin out a bit when the rain hits.  The lines get shorter and you can squeeze in a lot more fun!

We are actually in WDW right now and bracing for tropical storm Fay to hit tomorrow.  We had a good bit of rain today, but we used fitted rain covers for the strollers and threw on some ponchos.  We were able to walk around, buy snack food, ride rides, etc all in relative solitude.  Thousands of people were huddled together inside gift shops and restaurants!

Don't sweat the forecast.  There's always a chance of rain here, and even in the middle of a downpour your trip won't be ruined if you plan ahead.

    Have a great vacation!
