I want to start saving for a vacation. Is there a way to add money to an account without having a vacation booked yet?

    Hiya Kassidy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

I love that you’re planning on saving for your future Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I truly feel like I have the most relaxing trip knowing most of the expenses are taken care of, and I’m excited to discuss all the options you have to help you do the same!

Although there is not a way to add money to an account without having your vacation booked yet, I like to use Disney Gift Cards as my main method of payments for my vacation. Most of my family members and friends like to give me Disney Gift Cards for special occasions, knowing I prefer experiences to The Most Magical Place on Earth above anything else! You can use your Disney Gift Cards to pay for many things during your vacation, from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room, Theme Park tickets, and dining at Walt Disney World Resort. And if you’re worried about where you would store your Disney Gift Cards, I have great news for you! The best way to keep them organized is to go to DisneyGiftCard.com and create an account. You can combine your Disney Gift Cards in any denomination to a single card with a value of up to $1000. The website makes it so easy to transfer balances and delete cards with a 0 balance. I once lost my main Disney Gift Card and because I had it stored on my account, I just went and transferred the remaining balance on that card to a new one! Crisis averted!

Kassidy, once you have figured out the dates you would like to come, check to see if there are any Vacation Packages available. You would need to make the initial deposit of $200 and then can make payments as you go until 30 days before the check-in date! Also, if the Vacation Packages aren’t yet released, you can reserve the Resort hotel, which would require the deposit of the first night, plus tax. Once the Vacation Packages are released, you can modify your Room-Only offer to add the Special Offer!

I hope you have the most wonderful vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Kassidy! And remember, we’re all ears if you have any more questions about planning your enchanting vacation!
