Hi there, Timothy, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm absolutely thrilled that you've stopped by with this great question today. It makes me so happy that you're starting to plan for a vacation in 2026 - you know it'll be here in the blink of an eye!
Timothy, I'm so happy to tell you that it's never too early to start planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Now is the perfect time to think about which
Disney Resorts Collection hotel you'd like to call "home" during your visit, which Disney Theme Parks to explore, which
restaurants you'd like to try, which after-hours events you'd like to experience, and more! Of course, all of the amazing offerings that are available this year are subject to change, but it's still a great idea to familiarize yourself with all of the fun and exciting things that typically happen during the month of December at the Most Magical Place on Earth. While it's not yet possible to book into 2026, I think it's wise to start to budget for your visit and save those funds in an account of your choosing. I'm not qualified to give financial advice, but if you're looking for recommendations on what to do during a holiday visit to Walt Disney World Resort, you have a friend in me! I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and Disney Parks official social media accounts for updates on when bookings will be available during your chosen timeframe.
Here are a few things that I'd consider putting on my itinerary for a Christmastime visit:
- Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - this after-hours, separately-ticketed event is so much fun and often features lower crowds than a typical day at Magic Kingdom Park. Special shows and parades, snacks, and souvenirs will be available, as well!
- EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays - visit EPCOT during normal operating hours to experience this immersive festival that showcases how the holidays are celebrated around the world. Each evening, a celebrity Guest reads the Christmas story alongside a beautiful choir at the Candlelight Processional.
- Life-size gingerbread houses and towering Christmas trees in the Disney Resorts Collection hotel lobbies make resort-hopping a fun activity for the whole family.
Timothy, please stop back by planDisney with other questions

See you real soon!
