Seasons greetings, Danielle, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm thrilled that we've become your go-to destination for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning questions. As you know, my Panelist pals and I are here and always happy to help fellow Guests like you!
Danielle, I can't believe it right now, but the holiday season will be upon us before we know it. I've heard that Walt Disney himself loved the Christmas season, and I believe that Walt Disney World Resort pays tribute to his legacy by the incredible way that the season is celebrated. Everything feels so special, and every detail has been thoughtfully designed. I always pay close attention to how the piped-in holiday music changes depending on your location, from the African choirs singing traditional carols at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, to the cheerful tunes on Main Street, U.S.A., to the relaxing orchestral overtures at
EPCOT. For me, music always sets the tone, and Walt Disney World Resort has perfected the art.
There's so much to see and take in visually during the Christmas season! Towering Christmas trees and life-sized
gingerbread houses in the Disney Resorts Collection hotel lobbies, beautiful decorations and twinkling lights, seasonal overlays on attractions (like the
Jingle Cruise), and special performances to mark the occasion abound. Don't miss the Candlelight Processional that takes place nightly during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. This moving experience typically features a celebrity speaker reading the Christmas story and a talented choir singing your favorite Christmas classics.
One of my favorite parts about a holiday visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is the unique food and beverage offerings! You'll find Christmas-themed snacks and desserts sprinkled throughout Walt Disney World Resort, so keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more information about when those exciting items will be available.
We're all super excited about the return of
Disney's Jollywood Nights, a festive yuletide after-hours celebration at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This separately-ticketed event has quickly become a favorite for the glitzy celebrations and easier access to characters and attractions.
Perhaps my favorite thing to do during the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort is to experience as much as I can, but end each day with a moment of gratitude. Whether it's around a table full of delicious food or snagging a comfy seat in the lobby of my Resort hotel with a cup of hot cocoa, it's so important to take time to really soak in the spirit of the season. During what might be the busiest time of year, a vacation is absolutely the time to go all out and have a blast, but it's also the perfect place to reflect and enjoy some moments of peace. Happily, Walt Disney World Resort gives you the opportunity to do all of this in meaningful ways that will become magical memories for years to come.
Danielle, I hope this is helpful to you as you prepare for your lovely Christmastime visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Please stop back by planDisney anytime!
See you real soon!
