Want to start planning a trip for Sept 2014. If I book now to start paying for our trip can I add the free dining later if it is offered. If so how do I do that and how much will the savings be? We are wanting to stay at a moderate resort best for adult

    Hi Amanda!

Typically, when Walt Disney World offers a new promotion or discount such as Free Dining, guests with existing reservations are almost always able to take advantage of it. If your resort and room category is available, you can often simply make a quick change. If it isn't, then you can also inquire about other resorts or room types and make a switch.

One thing to note is if your original reservation is for a room only package, you will need to go through a process of cancelling and rebooking your reservation. If your original reservation is a package including tickets, then you'll be able to make the change without rebooking.

The savings with Free Dining can be pretty substantial! It is hard to estimate exactly, since it will vary with the dates you are staying as well as how many guests are in a room. If you use the online reservations system, you can look at the price of a package with and without dining to get a good idea.

    Hope this helps!
