I would like to start creating a rough draft itinerary for my trip planned Nov 27-Dec 5 2020...when does Disney release the schedule for extra magic hours and the schedule for Mickey's Christmas Party?

    Hi John!

You sound a lot like me, as I love the planning part of our Walt Disney World Resort Vacations! Right now, you may have to satisfy that need to plan with exploring restaurant menus and making a more general itinerary. Walt Disney World Theme Park Hours are usually released around 6 months in advance. So for your November trip, you may find them available toward May of next year. While things could be completely different in 2020, you may find looking at this year’s schedule can give you some guidelines with which to start a base framework for your planning.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit! With holiday treats, exclusive character meet-and-greets, magical enhancements to beloved attractions, and spectacular parades and fireworks, you are sure to leave feeling ready for the most wonderful time of the year! For the 2019 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, dates were announced in early April, so I would be on the lookout around the same time in 2020. I am counting down the days, as we are attending the very first party night this year! With my experience this year, if you decide on a specific party date you know you will want to attend in 2020, don’t wait too long to purchase your tickets. The party night I am attending is already sold out!

I hope this helps with your planning, John! I hope you’ll come back with more questions as your trip approaches. We love talking Disney!
