Hey, Melva! Thanks for POPping in with this great question!
Disney's Pop Century Resort is such a fun place to pick for your upcoming stay. I love all the larger-than-life themed icons found all across the resort, but I do say that my favorite has to be the classic Big Wheel ride-on toy found in the 70s section. Pop quiz time! How large of a person could this gigantic replica accommodate, based on the weight recommendations of the original Big Wheel? I'll let you give it a think while we discuss guest rooms.
Most guest rooms at Disney's Pop Century Resort have one queen size bed plus a Murphy-style pull-down bed. I so appreciated when they renovated these rooms recently and changed to this bed configuration. Having a bed that can be folded up out of the way during the day gives you so much room while everyone is getting ready for the day. If you have more than two guests staying in the room, then you will definitely be placed in one of these style rooms. Other standard rooms have just one king-size bed in the room. There are very few of these, so I would say that you have a better chance of not being placed in that type of room. However, just to increase your chance of getting a room with a queen plus the Murphy-style bed, I want to encourage you to
call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and ask a Cast Member to place this request on your reservation. Please note that this is just a request and cannot be guaranteed. If you find at check-in that you got a king room, then check with the Front Desk and see if there is a way to swap to another room.
By the way, the Big Wheel at Disney's Pop Century Resort could accommodate up to 877 pounds, per the sticker on this gigantic replica! Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if we can help with any other plans for your pixie-dusted adventure!
