We have The Standard Dining Plan and our youngest will be 11 when we arrive. He is a picky eater. Can he still eat off the children's menu?

Hi, Lynne! Thank you for visiting us here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I understand what it's like having a child who is a picky eater. It can certainly be challenging at times! While the children's menu is normally reserved for kids ages 3 to 9, your son should be able to order from the children's menu if there is a selection he prefers versus the "regular" menu. I know of other families who purchased the Disney Dining Plan who have done this with their picky eaters and it has not been a problem. Honestly, it would be more of an issue if the reverse were the case; in other words, if a child between the age of 3 and 9 wanted to order from the regular menu since the cost of a child's meal credit on the Dining Plan is significantly less than that of an adult's meal credit. For this reason, children between the ages of 3 and 9 must order from the children's menu if one is available at the particular dining location.

Wishing you a magical vacation! Please feel free to write me back with any other questions if I can assist you further with your vacation planning.
