What is the standard daily gratuity for housekeeping? We are a party of 2 (ages 51 and 26) stayiing at the Value Resorts for 9 nights.

Hi Connie! Nine nights at Walt Disney World sounds heavenly! You're going to have so much fun!

Tipping is a personal decision, and people have many different opinions on whether to tip their Mousekeepers and on the amount of gratuity that is appropriate. I love how the Mousekeepers at Disney sometimes leave fun surprises like towel animals in my resort room, and I travel with a very messy family, so I do tip our Mousekeepers. I usually tip approximately one dollar per day for each person in the room, so for my family of 4, I generally tip $4 or $5 dollars per day. I leave the tip out each day rather than waiting until the end of my vacation, since the Mousekeepers may vary from day to day.

Wishing you a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're always happy to help!
