Hi Stacy! I see that you've done triathlon's and I'm training for one too! Do you have any tips for sticking with the triathlon training plan while on vacation? I don't want the vacation to throw my training plan out of whack. Thanks!

Ah yes, swimming, biking and running your way through Walt Disney World is absolutely magical! It is definitely possible and fun to stay on track with your triathlon training plan while on vacation!

First, I would wake up extra early, before my kids or hubby were awake, so I could get my workout in. This way my training didn't interfere with our vacation plans.

I highly recommend staying at Coronado Beach Resort because this resort has everything you need to make staying fit and on track with your fitness plan easy!

They have a lap pool located near the spa, which is great because it is usually not busy and you can swim your laps without worrying about being in the way of others who are playing and splashing around. Most kids and those who want to lounge in the pool will go to the main pool at the resort.

There is also a 1-mile jogging trail around Lago Dorado, which is the lake at the resort. The 1-mile distance made is super easy to keep track of my mileage. I had to run 14 miles one morning, so I just ran around the lake 14 times. I got to see the sun rise over the lake and it was beautiful.

Coronado Springs is also the only moderate resort that has a fitness facility. You can get your bike workout in on the bikes in the indoor gym.

The best tip for staying on track with your plan while on vacation is to plan ahead! Plan all of your workouts in advance so when you arrive, you know what you need to do that day, what time you need to get up and how quick you need to do it so you can move on and enjoy your time in the parks with your family!

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
