Hi Stacy! Can you tell me the difference between Fort Wilderness Lodge, Cabins and Resort? I see that one is considered deluxe and the other is moderate, so I'm confused.

    Hi Stephanie!

Fort Wilderness has several options for families. The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort are categorized under the "Moderate" category. The cabins are wonderful, making you feel as if you are staying in a cozy lodge in the mountains. They come equipped with a full kitchen, dining table, TV, DVD player and enough room to accommodate six guests. There is a fold down bed in the wall of the living room, one double bed and two bunk beds.

The Fort Wilderness Campground also offers hookups for families who arrive via RV.

There is so much entertainment at the Fort Wilderness Campground, including wonderful restaraunt, awesome shows, such as Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue and Mickey's Backyard BBQ, campfire sing-a-longs, wonderful pool, horseback riding and more!

The Wilderness Lodge is considered a Deluxe Resort and they also offer Villas, The Villas are part of the Disney Vacation Club (although you don't have to be a member of the Disney Vacation Club to stay there) and they have more room, including a kitchen and bedrooms.

The Wilderness Lodge is themed after Yellowstone National Park and has an 80-foot tall fireplace. There are also wonderful restaraunt options here and you can see the Electrical Water Pageant, Wonders of the Lodge Tour or participate in the Wilderness Lodge Flag Family of the day.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
