Hi Debbie!
I also have food allergies so I can definitely give you some tips for dining at Walt Disney World (WDW) with special dietary needs. Walt Disney World is the absolute best place in the world to dine if you have a food allergy, so you are in great hands.
Before you arrive, visit the
Special Dietary Requests page, which provides details on dining at Walt Disney World with a food allergy.
When booking your
Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR), go to the "Special Requests" section and check off "Wheat/Gluten" and "Shellfish" (along with any others you all may have) then click "Done". This will note your allergy on your reservation and the server and chef will be well aware of your needs when you arrive.
All the WDW restaurants are great at accommodating allergies, but I had a particularly good experience at
Mama Melrose. My husband is allergic to shellfish and I'm allergic to gluten and dairy, so we made quite a pair! They had our ticket stamped with "allergy" and the chef came out to speak to us. They have a great Pasta all Vodka, which is gluten and fish-free.
Tiffins at Animal Kingdom has a great allergy friendly menu with Berkshire Pork Tenderloin, Pan-Seared Duck Breast, and many more items, which are friendly for gluten and fish allergies.
Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre also has a great burger served on a gluten-free bun!
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else!
Magically,
Stacy
