Hi Stacy! I'm going to be visiting Disney the second week in January, can you tell me what the weather is like that time of year? It's cold where I live, but I don't know if I should pack shorts or pants. What should I plan to pack? Help!

In January the average high is 71 and average low is 47, which means that you should definitely plan to wear layers. When I visit in January I pack mostly jeans, T-shirts, light long sleeves to layer and fleece jackets. I start off the day in a jacket and usually shed it by the afternoon. I usually don't wear shorts in Orlando in January, but I'm cold natured. My husband packs shorts and he is fine. The weather can be fickle during this time of year. One year there was sleet and freezing rain, another temperatures were so warm that we wished we packed shorts!

Right now it appears that this January will be fairly mild with temperatures in the 70s in the afternoon. Pack light layers and you'll be fine! And don't worry, there are plenty of places in the park to buy a sweatshirt, raincoat or T-shirt if the weather shifts during the day.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
