With the sports and swim add on do I have to visit these attractions on the same days that I go to the parks?

Hello there, Amy! Welcome back to planDisney! We appreciate you taking the time to reach back out and ask another excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

There are so many fun activities to do while visiting Walt Disney World Resort! Even outside of the four theme parks, you can find all sorts of experiences that your entire family will love! In particular, there are two water parks, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, that offer an aquatic area for Guests to enjoy whether they explore the attractions or relax by the wave pool. For all of the sports lovers, there is ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This professionally run sports facility hosts a variety of special events on its 230 acres of land.

Guests can add either of these experiences to their standard theme park tickets by purchasing either the Park Hopper Plus Option or the Water Park and Sports Option! Either of these options will give you access to the water parks or ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for the number of days on your ticket or vacation package.

Fortunately, though, you do not need to use these admissions on days that you visit the theme parks! Typically, my family and I will plan specific days to visit the water parks so we can have a bit of a break from the theme parks. That way, we can relax and not feel rushed to get from the water parks to the theme parks or vice versa in a single day.

My pro-tip for visiting the water parks would be to rent a locker for the day! These lockers are relatively inexpensive and are a great way of keeping your items safe and secure while in the water!

I hope you have a practically perfect vacation to Walt Disney World Resort later this year! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
