Nancy from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Are sports drinks like Gatorade or PowerAde available at the beverage stations? If not, can a guest bring their own? Thank you!

Well ahoy there Nancy, and welcome back aboard planDisney!

I remember that you previously asked my friend and fellow Panelist Shannon about bringing bottled water on board, and it seems like being able to make sure that you have your preferred beverages of choice is important to your upcoming cruise. As I always say on any expedition - your hydration is just as key as getting to your destination!

I spoke with a friendly Crew Member on board who was able to let me know that currently neither Gatorade nor Powerade are available at the beverage stations on deck on itineraries across the fleet, but also noted that the offerings and availability do vary between ships and regions. While it may not be currently available, there still may be a chance that Powerade may make its way on board in the future, but any changes to onboard beverage offerings may be made without prior notice. (It may be useful to note that Powerade does have a tendency to be available on Castaway Cay as it is one of the beverage brands under The Coca-Cola Company which has a long-standing relationship with Disney; Gatorade on the other hand, does not.)

You'll be happy to hear that at the present time, the ability to bring on non-alcoholic beverages is similar to bringing on bottled water: as long as it is unopened and placed within your carry-on luggage, fellow seafaring guests have been able to do so across the fleet. Like any onboard policy, this may be subject to change in the future and ultimately it may be up to the discretion of the Port screening staff as to what they will allow to be bought onto a particular vessel. I like to always confirm whether there are any changes to the official Prohibited Items list before any sailing in case there have been any updates or additions, just to be safe.

I hope that this was helpful Nancy - please come back to let me know how it went for you and if you have any other questions you'd like to ask ahead of your next adventure! Don't hesitate to reach out to our Disney Cruise Line Specialists Tracie and Adrianna as they've got waves of watery knowledge to help any other future sailors in need!

All the best on your quest to bring aboard the drinks you desire!
