I splurged for a park view room at the Poly hoping for the best July 4th experience. This is costing about $1500 more than a pool room. Recently discovered option for private guides at 175 per hour. Best way to spend $ - theme view or private guide?

    Dear Lisa,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning ahead for your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

My family and I always "play the game" of what we want to prioritize for any given visit, so I totally understand what you're going for here. This is such a personal family decision, so I absolutely defer to you on what you think your family will love most!

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is our family's absolutely favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotel, and one of the best features is being able to sit on a comfy beach chair with my toes tickling the sand, watching the Happily Ever After fireworks go off over Cinderella Castle! I have never felt the need to splurge for a theme park view room for that reason, because the experience on the beach is so much fun.

On that same note, I would absolutely consider one of the Enchanting Extras VIP tours to be a terrific option for my family, since you are escorted like royalty from attraction to attraction depending on which option you choose. It's really quite a magical experience and well worth the investment, in my opinion!

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
