Hi Tiija,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!
Purchasing a
Memory Maker package to get unlimited downloads of my family’s
Disney PhotoPass Service photographs has become an absolutely essential part of all of my family’s visits to Walt Disney World Resort. The pictures are almost always terrific, you can get as many of them as you want AND it allows everyone to get into the picture… and not just with a selfie!
From what I understand, Memory Maker remains active in your account for 30 days after it is activated, that is, when your first image is captured. This means that you should be able to start using it immediately as of the first part of your split stay BUT, sometimes, there can be issues with its activation, especially if it’s tied to a Theme Park Ticket that was reserved as part of that second stay. If you find that you still see the Disney PhotoPass watermark on your pictures after you take them, I recommend that you head over to
Guest Relations to see whether they can help smooth out any activation snags you may be experiencing.
If you want to take any special family portraits, I highly recommend a
Capture Your Moment photo session in one of the Disney Parks. I had the chance to do one recently at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the pictures turned out beautifully!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
