Hi Taryn! It’s so great to see you back at planDisney—we’re always happy to help!
I love doing split stays! It’s a fantastic way to double the magic and experience more of what Disney has to offer. Since you’ll be using the
Disney Dining Plan for both stays, you’ll have plenty of delicious dining options to choose from. The Dining Plan is perfect for added convenience, with prepaid meals and snacks throughout your vacation. Right now, there are two Dining Plan options: Quick-Service and the regular Disney Dining Plan, which includes both Quick-Service and Table-Service restaurants. Both include a Resort Refillable Mug and 1 snack per person per night. Plus, you get to enjoy a specialty beverage with each meal—alcohol is available for adults (21+ with ID) and there is also a variety of fun nonalcoholic options.
When it comes to your split stay, the Dining Plan works based on the number of nights you’re staying at each resort. You’ll need to use up all of your credits from your first resort before 11:59 PM on your check-out day. After that, your Dining Plan for the second resort will activate when you check in (check-in is at 3:00 PM for Disney Resort Hotels and 4:00 PM for Disney Deluxe Villas). So, feel free to use the credits from both stays on that day—just remember that they’re nontransferable between party members.
If you’re using the regular Disney Dining Plan, why not use some of your credits on May 31 for a special meal? Most
Character Dining and Signature Dining experiences require 2 Table-Service credits, but they’re definitely worth it! Some of my favorites include
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White and
California Grill. It’s a great way to splurge! Your
Dining Reservation Booking Window opens up 60 days in advance of your vacation; check out the Walt Disney World website for the most up to date information.
I hope this clears everything up, Taryn! If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. See ya real soon!
