Jambo, Michelle!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I'm thrilled to hear about your upcoming visit. I actually had similar resort plans when I visited with my daughter last year, except in reverse. We stayed at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort but were close enough to walk over to the
Intermission Food Court at
Disney's All-Star Music Resort. We loved the colorful decor all around both resorts and we were in heaven when we eventually checked into our Savanna view room. I have an upcoming stay at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village in a few short weeks and am already dreaming of the bread service at Sanaa. You're sure to have a magical stay!
Bell Services does offer luggage transfers for guests with split stays but I want to mention a few key points. First, they will happily transport your bags, but they are unable to move perishable items between resorts. This is for guest safety as it's not always possible to keep refrigerated items at the proper temperature during the potentially lengthy transfer process. You'll have the option of bringing your perishable items to your next resort yourself and asking Bell Services to store them there for you until your room becomes available.
Second, as I mentioned luggage transfers can take a few hours so I'd keep anything you need immediate access to with you as you move between resorts. When my daughter and I did our split stay we opted to use a third-party ride-share service since
Walt Disney World Bus Service is only available between the parks and resorts and not from resort to resort. We hopped in the car with our luggage and for a very reasonable rate were delivered directly to the check-in area at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge within a few minutes. We stashed our luggage and kept our day bag with us so we could quickly change into our swimsuits and enjoy the pool. If you're heading straight to one of the parks when you check out of your first resort, this might not be a concern but you can always opt for a
locker rental if you have items you'd like to keep close by until arriving at your second resort.
I hope this was helpful, Michelle. If we can answer any other planning questions before your visit, please come back and let us know. Wishing you a magical stay!
Adventure is out there,
Amy
