We have a split reservation in Feb - 3 nights and then 1 more in diff rooms but same resort - will we really get two magic bands like my account says? We booked the last night separately and later than the initial booking.

Hi, Jill! Thanks for stopping by with another great question! I have done several split-stay reservations, most of the time because I wanted to try different Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Sometimes I have done this because we were within the "no changes allowed" timeframe before our vacation and I decided to add on more days. I never see adding on more days as a problem - more magic is a fantastic idea!

Since split-stay Disney Resort Hotel Reservations are held by two or more separate reservation confirmations, you will be able to customize MagicBands for each part of your stay. In my experience, all MagicBands will work for all portions of your stay. So no worries if you leave one set at home. As an option, you could choose on the customization page to decline one of the sets of MagicBands. This would allow you to keep up with just one set of them during the whole vacation. I tend to collect MagicBands (linked together, they make excellent Christmas tree garland!), so I take advantage of the opportunity for more little magical devices.

Jill, if your first stay ends on the same day your second stay begins, check with the Cast Members when you arrive at the resort for the first stay to see if there is any way to stay in the same room for each portion. I have had great success with this being accommodated. However, there was one time that we had to move - but we moved to a much more magical room, so I did not mind that much!

Thanks again for bringing your question to us and please let us know if you have any others as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventures!
