    When will Splash Mountain reopen?

    Hi, Michael! It's great to see you here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I see you'll be visiting Mickey and his pals in a few shorts weeks. Let the countdown begin!

    I checked with Guest Services today, and Splash Mountain is scheduled to reopen on February 28; however, that could be subject to change. January and February, which are Walt Disney World Resort's coldest months, are common times for water rides to be scheduled for routine maintenance. Kali River Rapids and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park are also currently undergoing refurbishments, which include spruced up paint jobs so that everything looks fresh in time for warmer weather.

    One thing that will certainly be open during your trip is the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. If you've yet to experience it, you're in for quite a treat! I love the Artful Photo Ops staffed by the Disney PhotoPass Photographers, and my Mouseketeers can't get enough of the Chalk Art; make sure to notice the 3D Chalk Art drawing of Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf from Frozen...it's amazing!
