    Does spirit of aloha require payment when booking? I want to use the giftcard we got with our package but I won't get it until we arrive. If I book with a credit card will they charge me now? Or wait until I arrive and I can switch to gift card? Thanks!

    Yes, they will charge your credit card right away for the Spirit of Aloha reservation. I am taking my family in late September, and I have already been billed for that meal, as well as a few others.

    And of course, my Credit Card company has little interest in knowing that it is for a meal that I won't have for another 120 days, so I have had to pay them for it already.

    What I do, which may not be a solution for you, is simply save my gift card money for other expenses. The alternative is to get to that dinner, ask to pay with your gift card, and I believe that they will then credit your credit card account with the appropriate amount. That is what they have done for me when I paid with Disney Dining Plan 'credits'. 

    Sorry. That is probably not what you wanted to hear, but better to know in advance and plan accordingly!
