Will be spending week of 9/16 in WDW to celebrate DS's 5th birthday. My in-laws live nearby and would love to join us for a special dinner. If we choose a restaurant inside the park would they have to pay park admission? Is a hotel restaurant easier?

Hi Linda! What a wonderful way to celebrate your son's fifth birthday! Park admission is required to dine at the restaurants inside the theme parks. If your in-laws don't want to purchase park passes, it's best to choose one of the restaurants at Downtown Disney or at one of the resort hotels. (They'll have an easier time parking too.)

Your son might enjoy a birthday celebration at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort. For a rollicking good time, consider a trip to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue at the Fort Wilderness. Or if you're looking for a more upscale choice, consider Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, where your son could use night-vision goggles to spot animals on the savanna after dinner.

    Have a magical time!
