Welcome to planDisney, Maria! It sounds like you have an incredible land and sea adventure on the horizon, starting with magic at
Walt Disney World and ending with a relaxing
Disney Cruise. What a fantastic way to make memories!
Many guests love combining both experiences, but unfortunately, there isn’t luggage storage available at the Disney Cruise Line terminal in Port Canaveral. However, a quick internet search for “Port Canaveral luggage storage” or “Hold My Luggage Port Canaveral” may reveal companies near the port that offer secure storage options. Some companies at Orlando International Airport (MCO) may also provide similar services. While I haven’t used these services personally, I recommend reviewing customer feedback to ensure you’re comfortable before booking.
When it comes to packing, I’ve found that packing cubes are a game-changer! They make organizing much easier when transitioning from a week at Walt Disney World to a Disney Cruise, where stateroom storage can be tight. You can categorize your cubes by outfits, such as swimwear, casual wear, formal attire, and even workout gear. When you arrive in your stateroom, it’s easy to pull out just what you need without unpacking your entire suitcase. Also, All DCL staterooms have at least two closets plus space under the bed where you can store suitcases.
Since you’re cruising around New Year’s, you’re in for a treat! Disney Cruise Line often hosts a special celebration with midnight fireworks and festive menus. There’s even an optional Dress-Up Night, so you may want to leave a little room in your luggage for formal wear if you’d like to join in on the celebration. Don’t forget to use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you’re onboard, as it will keep you up to date with all the fun activities happening each day.
I hope you have a magical vacation, Maria! Bon voyage, and I wish you smooth sailing and unforgettable memories!
