If I am spending only one night in a Disney resort, December 22nd, can I check in before 8:00 am that day to get my key to the world card, so that I can take advantage of extra magic hours in Epcot that morning? I know the room won't be ready yet.

Absolutely. I did myself earlier this week.

The official check-in time at most WDW resort hotels is 3:00 p.m. However, you can preregister as early in the day as you'd like, even in the wee hours of the morning. This means that you'll do all the steps of checking in, except actually getting into your room. Once you preregister, you can get your Key to the World card and any park tickets or Dining Plan credits you've purchased. You can even leave your luggage with the Bell Services desk who will hold it in a secure location for you. You will also be able to take advantage of perks available to Disney resort guests such as Extra Magic Hours.

Have a great time at Walt Disney World!
