Spending NY's Eve 2011 at WDW with family (10 ppl) incl. 4 kids ages 4-6,not staying on site.Would like to see fireworks at midnight at MK.Any ideas?Maybe a late dinner somewhere with view of fireworks? If not, where is best spot to be and what time? Thanks!

    Hi Stephan!

What a great place to be spending New Years Eve!  We have found that the best place to view the fireworks is on Main Street U.S.A.  around the Main Street Bakery.  You get a beautiful view of the castle and fireworks from there.  Also, once the show is over you will avoid a lot of the crowds trying to get out of the park as you are close to the main gates of the park.  I would plan on finding a spot around 9:45 & 10:00pm no later.  There will be many people trying to find a spot so you will want to be early.  There are many places around this area where you can grab some food and snacks while you wait for the show to begin.  Casey's Corner and the Main Street bakery are our two favourites.

Have a magical vacation and enjoy the fireworks!
