    Spending May 19th at the MK and then have a dinner reserv. for Whispering Canyon at 6:50. Planned on taking the boat and traveling with two small children. Would like to know when I need to depart MK to make it there and how much early one should be.

    Hi Melissa! Sounds like you have a fun day planned! The boat ride from the Magic Kingdom to the Wilderness Lodge takes about 15 minutes or so. You may have to wait 5 or 10 minutes for the boat to arrive, so I would plan on leaving the Magic Kingdom and heading to the boat dock at least 30 minutes before your reservation at Whispering Canyon. Unless you encounter an unusually long wait for the boat, you should arrive at the Wilderness Lodge 5-10 minutes before your reservation, which is plenty of time.
