We are spending 1 day at Magic Kingdom and spending 1 night at an onsite hotel. If we are at magic kingdom for the day and won't be arriving to our hotel until later that night (after the fireworks), how do we check in? And how early can you check in?

    Hi Alana,

Welcome to planDisney! You'll LOVE crashing at a beautiful and magical Disney Resorts Collection hotel room after your fun-filled day at Magic Kingdom Park

I'm happy to let you know that with Online Check-In, you can take care of all of the details of checking in to your room before you even arrive! Depending on the contact information you provide during Online Check-In, you'll then receive a text or email when your room is ready with the room number, and you'll be able to head straight there at the end of the day. Your MagicBand, card, or the "Unlock Door" feature within the My Disney Experience mobile app will provide you with access to your room.

To complete Online Check-In, you'll simply want to make sure that your reservation is linked to your My Disney Experience account, then you'll be able to find your reservation within your online account or by clicking the three horizontal lines in the app and selecting "Future Plans." Once you've found your reservation, you'll be able to click "Start Check-In" to enter your contact information, select your estimated Resort arrival time, place a credit card on file for any charges, state your preference for housekeeping services, and make any room requests. It makes checking in a breeze!

While the official check-in time for Disney Resort hotels is 3:00 PM (or 4:00 PM for Disney Deluxe Villas), it's always possible that your room could become available earlier. The great news is that once you've completed your Online Check-In, you'll be considered a Guest of your Disney Resort hotel for the entire day of both your check-in and check-out, so please feel free to take advantage of any early theme park entry benefits as well as all of the wonderful amenities and recreational offerings.

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Alana, and please feel free to bring us any other questions you may have as you're thinking through the details of your trip. I hope you have a truly magical vacation!
