Hi, Susanna! You are headed to
Walt Disney World at my most favorite time of year to go. I love the Christmas holidays at Walt Disney World, and try to never miss a year.
While the schedule for this coming holiday season has not yet been released, in years past, there has been a Catholic Mass celebrated twice on Christmas morning. Mass takes place at a ballroom at
Disney's Contemporary Resort, and it's just a wonderful, special way to celebrate, bringing together hundreds of Catholics from all over the globe, joining hearts and voices for this blessed celebration.
If you would be more interested in a midnight Mass, or if the Christmas morning Masses don't quite work, you can take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe. This absolutely gorgeous Shrine celebrates Christmas Mass on a schedule more like your Church at home probably does, with services offered Christmas Eve and multiple times Christmas day. I like to save some time to walk through the grounds there, as there is so much to see.
Since you're going to be in Walt Disney World over the holidays, I have to recommend my most favorite part of the whole holiday season. Epcot's
Candlelight Processional is a celebrity narrated retelling of the story of the Nativity. With a beautiful, booming choir, you can't help but leave filled with the spirit and blessings of Christmas.
Thank you for your question. I hope you have the most magical time spending Christmas at Walt Disney World.
Anna
