Hi Irene!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I reached out to runDisney for the folding chairs question because I wasn't certain what their policy was. Unfortunately for safety concerns they do not allow them to be brought to the finish line. There isn't an abundant amount of space where the spectators stand, so they are concerned with it potentially being a tripping hazard. I understand standing for extended periods of time can be exhausting to many, so I'd recommend packing a blanket and finding a spot slightly away from the finish line. Hopefully you can take some time off your feet there! If you sign up for runner notifications you'll have a better idea when your runner is approaching the finish line to make sure you don't miss them. More information can be found by visiting the
Spectators tab of the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend page.
For the ChEAR Squad, there are designated restrooms for those that are registered, but there are still plenty for those that are not. It's just an added convenience for those that purchase the registration to not have to wait in a line. For other spectators there are a significant amount of porta-potties throughout the finish area that are open to everyone!
For handicapped parking to get to the race, the roads to Epcot actually close at 5 AM and do not open up until later in the morning. The race finishes in the parking lot, so regular parking is not open. Your best bet is going to be to park at the Transportation & Ticket Center and take the
Resort Monorail to Epcot.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
