Welcome to planDisney, Barbara! The excitement around
Disneyland’s 70th anniversary is truly palpable. Having recently visited the resort for the official kickoff, I can confidently say the enthusiasm is more than justified! There is so much to see and do this summer at the Disneyland Resort.
Right now, there’s a fantastic
special ticket offer available to all guests! If you’re planning a visit between now and August 14th, you can purchase a 3-Day, 1-Park Per Day Ticket for $120 per day or a 4-Day, 1-Park Per Day Ticket for $100 per day (prices subject to change). These tickets can also be upgraded to include
Park Hopper access and/or
Lightning Lane Multi Pass for an additional fee. One of my favorite perks? You don’t need to use all the ticketed days consecutively, which gives you the flexibility to pace out your visit and enjoy some downtime in between park days. For more details, I recommend checking the
Disneyland website for the most current info.
As for birthday celebrations, while there aren't any official offerings for guests born in July 1955, there are still some fun and festive ways to mark the occasion! First things first: stop by City Hall in Disneyland or Guest Services in Disney California Adventure to pick up your complimentary birthday button. You’ll be amazed how many birthday wishes you’ll receive throughout the day from fellow Guests and Cast Members alike.
Planning a special meal? If you're dining at one of the resort’s table-service restaurants, like the atmospheric
Blue Bayou or the lively
Lamplight Lounge, you can add a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to your reservation! These adorable cakes serve 4–6 guests and must be ordered at least three days in advance.
Finally, don’t miss the opportunity to pick up something special from the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration merchandise collection. One area I personally adored was the Vault Collection, which features nostalgic designs inspired by Disneyland’s early years. A few of those retro treasures are definitely coming home with me!
Barbara, I hope this helps you plan a magical birthday visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. If you have any more questions as your celebration gets closer, we’d be delighted to hear from you again at planDisney.
Happy (early) birthday and here’s to a celebration seventy years in the making!
