Aloha, Alyssa.
Welcome to planDisney! First, let me offer you a Texas-sized CONGRATULATIONS on your upcoming wedding! I bet you've been floating on air ever since true love's kiss made all your dreams come true. You are at the beginning of your happily ever after with your very own Prince Charming! It's all so wonderful, isn't it?
There's no better place to start your forever together than at The Most Magical Place on Earth! I am happy to report
Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons has a webpage dedicated solely to
Disney Honeymoons. You can easily
request a digital brochure from their site to see the variety of romantic, magical options available to you, or you can call (321)939-4610 to speak with a Fairy Godmother (friendly Cast Member). Did you know you can even set up a
Honeymoon Wishes Registry for your Disney Honeymoon? It's true! Your friends and family can gift you experiences, theme park tickets, tours, spa treatments, meals, and more. It's the perfect way to allow others to help you have a truly unforgettable start as a married couple.
If you opt to plan your honeymoon yourself, it's quite simple to do. I would suggest booking a stay at one of the more romantic
Disney Resorts Collection hotels on property, such as
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort,
Disney's Riviera Resort, or
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Be sure to add on
theme park tickets for the length of your stay so you have plenty of time to explore the theme parks together. Of course, you need to enjoy a delicious meal at somewhere exquisite like
California Grill or
Cinderella's Royal Table. You could book a
Capture Your Moment photo session with a talented
Disney PhotoPass photographer to commemorate the beginning of your
tale as old as time or plan something romantic like a
horse-drawn carriage ride or
Sangria University.
While I wish I had more information to report, no announcements have been made yet as to when we can expect the
Disney Dining Plans to return. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World Resort website, as they will likely be the first sources to report any updates. Perhaps you could purchase a Disney Gift Card for the approximate amount you think you will spend on meals for your honeymoon instead and use it to pay each time? I know it's not exactly the same, but it would do the trick!
Alyssa, I hope your wedding and honeymoon are full of magic, love, and laughter! Congratulations!
Love is an open door,
Alyssa (Your Name Twin)
