Are there special Holiday menus for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day and where can I find the menus?

    Hi Joann,

I've been to Walt Disney World during several major holidays. Often, there are special items put on to the menus, but with no announcement or fanfare in advance. For example, on Thanksgiving, turkey will show up almost everywhere, even on the value resort food court lines, but there is no announcement about this. Similarly, I dined at Jiko in the Animal Kingdom Lodge on Christmas Day 2010. The menu was substantially the same, but there were a few festive holiday desserts added to the choices. For New Years, there are often dedicated prix fixe menus or parties at the resorts that may involve a substantial fee, but the availability of these is often not announced until just a few weeks before the big day.

All that being said, the best source of information I know about 2012 holiday dining is the independent website wdwinfo.com. Search there for an article called, "2012 Christmas Dining Options at Walt Disney World." They have posted the news that's out there so far, but I expect many additions and changes to the list.

I haven't heard anything yet about 2012 New Year's dining. For ideas about what happened last year, you may want to check out wdwinfo.com for an article called "New Year's Eve at Disney World -2011."

You can also look for articles about Disney holiday dining on DisneyFoodBlog.com.
