    Are there any special festivities for Fat Tuesday at the Riverside or Port Orleans resorts?

    Hi Tim!

    Your vacation is right around the corner.  I bet you can't wait to "laissez le bon temps rouler" on your Walt Disney World getaway.  Being from the South I love a good Mardi Gras celebration.  Something about a zydeco band and colorful floats always puts me a great mood.  Last year Disney's Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter did host a small parade put on by the Cast Members. You can ask the Concierge desk at your Disney Resort hotel if it will take place again this year and if so, what time it will take place.  

    If you plan on visiting Disney's Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter why not indulge in some New Orleans favorites such as beignets at the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Food Court, or a refreshing Hurricane from the Scat Cat's Club.  The Mardi Grogs pool bar also serves up some of my favorite beers from New Orleans, Abita Amber an Turbo Dog.  

    Tim, your Fat Tuesday will be one to remember, you will be at the Most Magical Place on Earth.  I hope you have a terrific time and please enjoy a Hurricane for me.
