Hi Eileen!
Welcome to planDisney! I can't think of a better place to ring in 2027 than at Walt Disney World Resort! Specific details haven’t been released yet about fireworks, showtimes, and other entertainment experiences for this year, but I can share more about past offerings to give you an idea of how Disney has previously celebrated.
In the days leading up to New Year's Eve last year, my panelist pal Lizzie shared a quick
overview of all the celebrations to ring in 2026 at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. While I can't promise what this year will bring, Disney always finds a bit of pixie dust to sprinkle on this magical evening! In fact, New Year's Eve is one of the most popular days to visit, and the parks can reach capacity well before the fireworks begin. If you're planning to celebrate inside a park - particularly Magic Kingdom or EPCOT - I'd make sure to arrive early that day and plan to stay through the fireworks and entertainment. In the past, New Year’s Eve celebrations have
not required a special ticket, meaning Guests have been able enjoy the festivities as part of their regular daytime
admission. Even though the parks may be busy, you can check out options to minimize your time waiting in line, such as purchasing
Lightning Lane passes and using
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering.
If you're looking for other special ways to celebrate your holiday visit to Walt Disney World, you may want to check out
Disney Jollywood Nights, which runs on select evenings through January 5, 2027. Your
special event ticket gives you access to a late-night party inside Disney's Hollywood Studios featuring special entertainment, character greetings, and access to many of your favorite rides and attractions. If your visit extends into the first week of January, this may be a great way to wrap up your vacation and the holiday season as you start the new year!
I know this may not be all the information you were hoping for, Eileen, but I'd suggest continuing to check the
Walt Disney World website and the
Disney Parks Blog for more details in the weeks and months ahead. One of the best places to check for specific entertainment schedules as your trip approaches is the
Hours and Events Calendar, which extends out about 60 days and will be updated as more details are confirmed. Of course, if you have more questions, we're always happy to help here at planDisney, so please stop by to see us again!
See ya real soon!
